It's been a busy few weeks since I last updated on my life. I traveled to Bangkok for a week of medical and mid-service meetings, visited a friends home, traveled to Chiang Mai for a meeting, was visited by the Country Director, had a friend come stay, completed an environmental project, and am currently planning an HIV/AIDs Camp. On top of all of that I was stung by a scorpion, am the proud mama of three chicks, and am getting ready to head to Cambodia next week. I also got all dolled up in a  lovely Thai outfit, had my makeup done by a 10 year old and sat on a float during a parade while everyone dumped buckets of ice water on me. Always an adventure in Thailand! I'm so behind on blog posts that I won't go into details on all of that, but will share the story through some pictures.

For Songkran (Thai New Year) my neighbors woke me up at 6am to go to the temple and give rice to the monks. We had to sit on the floor for about 2 hours while the chanting took place. I was struggling not to fall asleep, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one.

Parade time!

This ones a bit old, but I can't remember if I shared it on here before. Hmong outfit for New Year Ceremony.

My coworkers and I looking cool with our matching shirts...

Hanging out a with the kids during the Songrkan festival. Everyone has to wear flowered shirts the whole week!

A village elder insisted that I take pictures of the fish he was drying out and then wanted to give me one to take back to America...

My youth group doing an activity during my environmental project.

Posters the kids made about Global Warming and what the world would be like with no trees or plants.

We planted vegetable seeds in egg shells then when they were ready planted them outside to start a garden. The kids had lots of fun decorating their eggs and seeing the plants grow.

My chicks getting ready for bed!

Bombay has been coming over every day to hang out with the chicks and see what I'm up to.
